Stanford Cross did our blessing reminding us not to chase success but find something we are passionate about and the success will find you.

President Elect Yvonne Legge led us in God Bless America.

Three Interact students: Ava, Asia and Annabella recited The Four Way test.

GUESTS-President Joanie brought her friend Dianne Brindisi, Dianne will be joining as a member!  Lindsey Reid invited School councelors: Melanie Wolf and Brittany Lind. Nancy Notis welcomed Connie Manus who is Lexies mom. James Peterson came with Michael Schoff, who received a Rotary scholarship last year for which he is very grateful. He took a gap year and this fall is attending Dartmouth majoring in mechanical engineering and is working at James' firm since January.

Marie Brownell reminded us that the Golf Tournament is only 3 weeks away, she needs more golfers to sign up as well as raffle items.

Vice President Midge Nelson presented a $1500 check to Amber Buttermoore from Dondero School for an ecology school camp taking place next week. The camp is a weeklong adventure for the 5th graders.

For our main program we have heard from Tristan and Cindi Shanley, Lindsay Reid, Caitlin Burke, Peter Muccia and Nancy Clayburgh, all of them are part of our Scholarship committee.

Today we awarded a total of 18 scholarships.  11 of them came from Rotary due to our excellent Christmas Tree and ornament sales (I'm not very objective here but I am proud!) 5 scholarships came from Shanley Scholarship fund which was established by Cindi, Tristan and family and friends after Tristan's dad passed away unexpectantly.  1 remaining scholarship is from Genimatas Family, Nick Genimatas was there to present the receipient with the check.  This is the 20th year that the Genimatas Family has awarded a scholarship.   Each scholarship was for $3000 and the total amount awarded was $54,000.  We should be very proud of ourselves!

Volodimir, who was a scholarship recipient last year has given an uplifting speech and gave important advice to our young recipients about joining at least one student club during college.

All 18 recipients were very impressive, accomplished and excited for their next chapter in life.

Fittingly the raffle of $42 was one by one of the students, sorry no match.

The final bell was rang by another Interact Club student - Anabella.
