$1000 MATCH NEEDED AT HARVEST FOR HUNGER FOOD DRIVE

 

The Rotary Club of Portsmouth is holding its annual Harvest for Hunger Food Drive again this year at Philbrick’s Fresh Market Plaza on Lafayette Road, Portsmouth, NH on Friday, October 26th from 8 am to 7 pm.  Each year, Rotarians collect over 1000 pounds of food and cash donations and distribute all proceeds to the Salvation Army, Cross Roads House and The Seacoast Family Food Pantry. The club will also be matching cash donations dollar for dollar up to $1,000.

Over the course of the past year, the Salvation Army has provided over 21,000 meals and Crossroads House has provided over 18,000 meals to shelter families and individuals. The Seacoast Family Food Pantry donates to over 150 families each year.

The community is encouraged to donate cash, checks, canned food and nonperishables, as well as hygiene products.  People are encouraged to please check the dates on canned goods.
